ASTRI’s Innovative Smart Mobility Technologies and Seminar Highlights at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair

ASTRI participated in the 44th HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) from October 13 to 16, showcasing cutting-edge smart mobility and connected autonomous vehicle (CAV) technologies at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Exhibition visitors had the opportunity to explore the following innovations:

Seminar Highlights

With smart mobility taking center stage this year, ASTRI hosted a seminar titled “Navigating Tomorrow: How Connected Autonomous Vehicles Reshape Industries.” Industry leaders shared valuable insights into the future of autonomous driving, including market potential and associated challenges. More than 200 guests attended onsite, engaging with expert discussions on emerging technologies, R&D contributions to CAV advancement, and the anticipated impact of CAVs on various sectors in Hong Kong.

Mr. Kenny Chan, Chief Director of Innovative Mind at ASTRI, discussed the adaptation of emerging sensing and display technologies in smart mobility.

Dr. Weisong Wen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Mr. Dongzhe Su, Director of Smart Mobility Technologies and Chief Engineer of V2X System, Communication Technologies, ASTRI, exchanged views on the progress of CAVs driven by R&D efforts.

The panel discussion, “Beyond the Road: Industry Synergies,” was moderated by Mr. Sam Hau, Senior Manager of Emerging Sensing and Display Technology at ASTRI. Panelists included Mr. Richard Lee, Functional Manager at CUHK Jockey Club Institute of Ageing; Ms. Doris Leung, Founder and CEO of Diamond Cab (Hong Kong) Limited; and Mr. Jojo Xu, CEO and Co-founder of Libpet Tech Ltd.

Mr. Falcon Chan, Partner, Strategy, Risk & Transactions, Deloitte China, concluded the seminar by sharing his perspectives on the future of CAVs in Hong Kong.
